You can get the Mickey Thompson FC-II in 40/13.5R18LT, same with the ATZ 4rib if you prefer that pattern. You may get some minor rubbing on the A and C pillar, but nothing to worry about.![]()
as the title says, what tyres are available for the 18" Rims?
looking at At tyre & more aggressive, Im not intrested in highway terrian.
currently the disco is a standard Hse 03 model.
I will be looking at lift modifications later. the current size is 255 55 r18

lol
i may need a body lift to to get 40" under but 13.5" wide doesnt seem too bad for the height gain

General Grabber AT2, sits nice on the disco 18in rim.
I have done 6,000kms on my set so far, handle well on road - nice and quiet and better offroad than a normal highway tyre (I was on Michellin Latitude Sport's prior).
So far i have been happy with them. Got them at Guest 4wd in Fairfield, Melb.

I was frustrated at the limited choice of 'rough play' tyres for the D11 on 18"s, so I bought a set of 16" rims, which meant I could fit quite an aggressive tyre, without having to lift the vehicle or make any cuts in the bodywork.
I ended up with a tyre that was only 1/4" larger (dia) than the original, so the effect on the speedo was negliable.
I have been told that BFG will have their new mud terrains (KM2) in 265 x 65 x 18 early in the new year.
These will fit on a D2 however I think they will be in the order of $450.00 each.
Maxxis do a set of muddies in 275 x 65 x 18 but these are slightly bigger than a 32" so don't know if they will fit.
