    Disco II rear quarter panel

Has anyone here modified the rear quarter panel (behind the rear wheels) to get more clearance?

I'm thinking about making a steel rear bar and would like a little more clearance.

    Hi Waz,
I havent done this myself, but a few mates have.
They just trimmed the rear quarters by marking where the plastic trim sits now(the one on the bottom of the panel), remove trim & cut on this line & then refit the trim(dont know how, but i would assume some sikaflex was used)
They also made there own rear bars which worked very well.
    Cheers

Quite a few guys have trimmed the rear quarters.

Baz (Redback) is one of them and he has some recent pics of what it all looks like.

Use the search function for the others particularly in the Members Ride section.

    Cheers.
