Excellent news! But I was sure these wiring connector pins were supposed to be gold plated to prevent oxidation...?

I had the odd problem with SRS light and resolved mine by spraying terminal cleaner on the gold plate terminals under the passenger side active seat belt connector and re-connecting...they are gold plated but the bain of electronics is oxidisation (micro volts dont take much oxidisation to cause problems) and even gold can get it I reckon.

The connector is under the drivers side steering column through the main electrical access panel. Hard to miss being the only yellow connector with a yellow conduit heading up towards the steering column.

I shall try to get a photo today.

Just think, if this happens on the SRS, how many other circuits out there are going this way that the car doesn't monitor...

my light went of about 2 weeks ago and thought all was good, then wifey went over a speed bump and its jolted the car causing the light to come back on
determined to find the fault now as it is obviously a loose connection somewhere.

Try the under seat connectors again,my SRS lights were ALWAYS bump induced.Perhaps use circuit cleaner on them.Not had an SRS light for 18months or more.
Makesure seat movement cant pull on the connectors.

Another place to check is the connector for the passenger side airbag, located behind the glovebox. I have had an SRS fault come up when too much stuff was loaded in the glovebox, putting pressure on the connector.
