    Thats right,
mine was that bad in the end that when I wanted acceleration all I got was black smoke and going no where.

Faster than a speeding bullet, jumps tall buildings in a single bound, not sure how good he is at stopping a speeding train.
    Great service at BAS.

More a hesitation, power drops off then comes on like nothing has happened.
Around the 2500rpm mark. Increasing the boost on the turbo made it worse (although it has never gone in to limp mode) which leads me to believe the hoses are at fault, same with heat after running for a while.
The rubber goes soft and causes the hoses to distort. Just a theory.
Will post up results after fitting new hoses next week.
Just for the record, I had a new injector loom fitted about 10K ago.
    Thanks for the input.
    Cheers Lionel
I've been searching around for why my D2 TD5 has been sluggish as of late with alot more induction-type noise, so after reading this topic I reached into my engine bay and gave my hoses a good squeeze. What do you know but I could completely collapse them with my fingertips.

Within an hour, I had the two replacements (OEM for AU$80) for the turbo-intercooler side as the EGR side was fine. From from ringing around, the OEM part was changed/upgraded in 2002 and have a different construction. To be sure, both hoses had started to de-laminate and had several bubbles like the one shown here.

After replacement I could not believe the difference! A couple of months ago, removed the EGR and it all came together with the new hoses. I forgot that the TD5 could actually accelerate. Engine running is also smoother now.

Thanks! You've given me back my Disco Joy!
