    Rear Bar D2 to D1

Does anyone know whether a bar built to fit the D2 and from what I have been told body hugging fit.

    would fit on a D1?

    Thanks

    Lou

Failing that if anyone is building D1 rear bars and are taaking orders PM me as long sa it doesn't cost the earth

    Hey DB
Don't quote me on this but i don't think so
The d2 body is longer so there for i THINK the body sits further over the chassis and is a fair bit different
Someone will correct me if i'm wrong i'm shore

D2 body is longer and wider as far as I know. All the bars that I've seen for the two models have been quite different. Which is a pity really, because I know where I can get my hands on a well made after-market rear bar for a D1 - looks great, and would love to replace the plastic rubbish on the back of my D2 - but I'm assured by those in the know that it won' fit.
    Cheers .........

I had a rear bar on my old D1 but as it would not fit the D2 it ended up on the rear of Utemad's car.

The brackets are similar but I am not sure about the bolt holes.

The chassis is the same width, and the body is also the same width, the only carry over panel from 1 to 2 is the rear door. The wider bit is the wheel track.

If you are handy with the tools you might easily mod the bar to suit. It is easier to change brackets than to make the whole bar (I am currently doing this)

The only issue I can see other than the brackets is the D2 has the trim on the body so the bar is flat.

    I hope this helps
