    Horn Button TD5

    Gday All, can someone tell me if this is true.My Horn button keeps popping out on the steering wheel,only 1 side and have been told that you have to replace the whole steering wheel.Does anyone know if you can buy just the switches on the wheel.

    You can just buy the horn switches, they only come as a pair. So u will have to replace both as they plug into a small loom.
    You will also need to remove steering wheel/airbag to replace.

    One of ours popped at a while back.
    I was able to re-install it with out removing the steering wheel, jsut sat in the seat. it took a few attempts and the tricky thing was getting the spring jsut in teh right place so that it was central to its locating mould on the push button.

    after the first few goes I found a layby well away from anyone so as not to disturb them as when trying to fit it, it makes a circuit and the horn goes off, after that go too much I pulled the fuse....

    of course, your push button may be popping out becuase its broken, in whcih case the above is no help.....
