    Looks good Nealo.

Just make sure that if you come up to Kal - don't park next to me in Hannan Street. One of us will end up trying to get into the wrong Disco.

Identical worklight, same colour Disco ..........................

Hang on - your AULRO sticker is in the opposite corner to mine, and your tail lights are the newer ones.

The only thing that I did different to yours on the mounting - I had to make up a coupe of packers to move the spare wheel carrier out a bit from the body when I put the bigger tyres on, so I simply extended one of the packers upwards about 6" above the carrier, and welded the light post onto that.

Wiring is easy - it only took me about half an hour to run power through, but I've been slack and only have an illuminated switch inside on the console - no external switch. Works pretty well if someone comes up behind you with their high beam on too .........
    Cheers .........

Now I just have to finish the dual battery install, wire up to the spotlights, fit the mobile phone hands free, order and fit the 2" lift...sure there was something else...oh yeah...wire up the compressor lol

    You're nearly done then!

Looks good, will you run that off the 2nd batt or the start battery?

I think you have come up with just about the best solution without drilling into the body of the vehicle imo. and if you "marketed" it, Im sure it would be very popular !!......I know my friend will def take a GOOD look at this...

As far as a switch goes, I mounted one in the light to, that way if your "out" of the vehicle it can be easily turned on or off, but also have a "master" in the cab to to stop "illegal" use. I used a D1 carrier assy and front fog switch inplace of the Ashtray as the binnacle is already full lol...

Does this D1 switch carrier slot straight into the D2 coin/cig tray position, or is there some modification needed?

    It slots straight in....

That's the same D1 part that AMV use for their electric Diff lock switches.

I scrounged the cable off a Narva ciggy lighter extension lead, but you can get it from RS Technologies

Don't get up to Kal that much, well...in the Disco that is ...most of the time I am up there for work....I'll keep an eye out for your car dude!

If I go bigger tyres I may have to go down a similar road, but the whole legality of 265/75 may negate that.
