Thread: D2 Baby Seat Anchor Points

Question D2 Baby Seat Anchor Points

    Hi All,
We currently have two baby seats on the middle seats which have the standard anchor points on either side and will need to utilise those for some time yet.

Just would like to know if anyone has put in a third anchor point for the middle seat and if so, did you have to go through a special place to get it done? As obviously the middle seat doesn't have an anchor point!

    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

We have #3 on the way :-)

    Cheers

    Lp

I am running 3 seats in the rear, same as Andy, factory third point middle of trim above the back door.

thanks muchly for the replies. When you say 'above the back door', i'm assuming you have rear cargo seats?... which I dont...

I don't think I was clear in what I was trying to explain. 2nd row seats, not third in the cargo space... mmmm the ones behind the front seat was what I was on about - sorry... stupid brain here at the mo

I've got the two convertable seats currently anchored to the back of the seats on the left and right - gosh - hope that makes sense!

    Any ideas?

    mmmm

    thanks :-)

    LP,
The others replies are correct. The anchor point for the middle seat in the second row is above in the roof above the rear door (same as our Subaru Forester). The anchor strap goes over the rear of the seat and up to the roof, not down behind the rear of the seats like the two side anchor points.

    Yep,
Everybody is right. Look near the rear window mounted brake light. I fitted my standard child seat in the middle of the 2nd row of seats off this mid-point also. The only tricky part was sliding the small plastic cover plate out of the way as it had never been used before.

Ahaaaaaa - Thanks for clarifying. Will have to sus it out tomorrow when I find my keys

(I definately do have a stupid brain here at the mo *lol*)

A couple of other questions thoug:

    1. did you need to buy an additional fitment to make the strap go the full length of the boot? I know there's a myriad of car seats but don't know if the lenght of strap they use is a 'standard' length as such?

    2. Also, are you still able to fit much in the boot? We have a double mountain buggy to contend with also!

    Cheers

I have the one above the door in mine and there is also one installed on the floor behind the 2nd row seats, i find this one much better to use. It was in there when i got the car. Can get a pic if required.
