Thinking getting another set of wheels and saw p38 wheels in the wreckers.
I was just wondering how they look like on Disco 2. Anyone has them on yours and can share how they look like (photo would be great)?
I put the photos of the wheel.

Thanks n what make it better is that my D2 has the same color as yours.
How long u hadnt shaved?
Mine also has these wheels but what I noticed are that they locate on the 1Kg each wheel nuts and not on the spigot.
Is this normal and would it pose a problem.
Usually on car mags the dealers use a plastic bush in the rim
to make up for play.
Hi Slunnie
Nice brake disks you got there.
Here in RSA we get only fancy ones for the front.

How long does it take you to shave though?
Just fitted P38 rims and Bighorn mud Tyres, happy so far.
Have kept the original wheels just in case I get sick of the muddies on the road, but at the moment they will stay on.
From memory the wheels were $120 each, but you may be able to bargain, most wreckers will have them or LR specialists. Cheaper than aftermarket wheels and they are factory LR.

Hmm could be a long conversation.......Normally over a number of frothies
All Stock, no lift, muddies are 245/75/16's. The next size up in the Bighorn's are 265 which means lift required.
As I was planning to leave them on the car I went with a more road friendly size so the car tracks a bit bettter on the road. If it was bush only then go the 265's, but budget in a lift.
I am currently working through the lift oprtions at the moment but in no rush. My main concern is height clearance. I figure at the moment if I have decent tyres, winch and bar (getting fitted shortly) then that should suffice for now. Aside from the height situation a lift is only going to give me more wheel clearance nothing more as it does not lift the height of the diffs which seems to be the lowest point.
Tyres after all the reasearch I did are a preference/personal thing, dependent on what you require them for, as well as what you are prepared to put up with and or sacrifice. Everyone is different.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
lol! A long time to shave!
Those rotors are EBC slotted and dimpled front and rear.

though it now runs dba 4000 series slotted

Because of the bigger tyres, the upgraded brakes is part of the engineering package.
