light force 240 blitz on ARB bar

    hi all

just had a ARB winch bar fitted to my 04 D2 and was wondering if any has put lightforce 240s on the same particular bar and whether or not they fit?

240HID's may be a problem due to the size and the mount pin position, but 240Blitz will fit fine.
I have the Blitz on a Classic ARB bar. The Blitz sits well forward of its mount point allowing it to clear the limited space for a winch bar.

Even the IPF 900's that ARB sell for the bar dont fit properly and give limited movement ability.

I had to grind down the mount blocks to give me enough clearance to focus them upwards.

Also, the 240Blitz has a Lightforce retro fit HID kit available now too. We are ordering some of these kits at work so will get one of the first ones to hit my floor and do some before and after shots!

    Cheers

    Andrew.

I'm running a set of Lightforce 240 XGT's on my ARB non-winch bar and they are a perfect fit! there are a couple of spacer plates on the bottom of each light which can easily be taken off.

RRC winch bars are not flat across the top like the non winch bars. www.therovergroup.com/img/parts/PARTS-ARB-RRC.jpg

This limits the height of lights compared to non winch.

    The Disco S1 bars
www.expeditionexchange.com/vehicleprotection/DSC00745.jpg also have a limitation to them.

    D2 are also the same
https://www.expeditionexchange.com/v...ction/4610.jpg particularly when it comes to the side clearance of the uprights.

Both of my Blitz's obscure the bar uprights looking from the front. I test fitted the XGT's before I bought the Blitz' and the XGT's did not fit.

Winch bars are different in construction to std non winch bars and have slightly different dimensions.

    Cheers

    Andrew.
