    Question TD5 Gearbox/Transfer Electrical Plugs

This weekend I thought it would be a good idea to fab up my own CDL lever, which worked a treat! Way before making a lever was even thought of I used to engage the CDL using a 10mm spanner, this made the yellow CDL light on the dash come on.
Since then I have had the back to back seal between the transfer case and gearbox replaced (twice..second time was warranty), It has now come to my attention that some of the electrical plugs on the gearbox may have been mixed up, when I enable the cdl I now get a little red temperature light in the top right of the dash.
The question I asked (after searching) is wether anyone can explain to me what connectors are mixed up and how they are meant to go? I have looked on RAVE and I cant seem to find what I want.

Sounds to me like the T-box Temp switch and Diff lock switch wires are on the wrong way round............

We don't have the T-box Temp warning fitted in the UK, but I know they do in the U.S, maybe AUS does to....... and its linked to the same dash light as the Autobox temp light (top right corner of the dash) ..........BUT its only fitted /enabled on V8's not TD5's although the wiring loom is most likely there and been connected in error to the diff lock switch (almost certainly)

The wire to the difflock switch should be Blue / Black. The wire to the T-box temp switch is Green / Black.

The Difflock switch is located just beside the Difflock spiggot. You'll have to crawl underneath and see what colours are going to it. heres an Idea of where it is (looking from above)

if your car is an 03 model year on, (as you said Yellow Difflock light, Earlier ones are Red) then they have 2 difflock switches, and the second one is fitted on the front output housing to the right of the prop connection (looking rearwards), they "may" have connected the trans temp switch wires to that one instead. Again the wires should be Blue / Black not green / black

thanks alot for your help Urban Panzer. You were spot on. My D2 is a TD5 manual, I don't think manuals have the gearbox temp sensor (seeing as the wire was just floating) but it is wired in the loom.

I guess I should've taken the initiative to look up for the other set of plugs in the first case but I wasn't quite sure if that was the right one or not.

I couldn't find the difflock wires and connected the transmission oil temp light instead - now I know it is engaged if the oill temp light shows and the ecu doesn't, so at least it will not turn TC off if I start the car with difflock engaged!
