I had a lot of squeal from the front had the discs skimmed as there was a lip on them.... still had squeal so had the the Bendix 4wd type pads with the titanium strip in them fitted yesterday they are great no squeal and feel good...![]()
I am getting sick of the brake dust on the front wheels. The rest of the car will stay clean but after only a cuppla days the front rims are black. I think the pads are genuine as they were changed along with the rotors just before I got the car. I have some new rotors for the rear which are due, so what pads do you guys use that doesn't squeal, set off the amigoes and put brake dust everywhere??
I am hoping you all say Bendix 4wd type, as I can get a reasonable price on these.
Thanks in advance.
May not get back to the computer until Monday, going to Wollemi National Park for the weekend, will be at Sheepskin Hut on Saturday night if anyone wants to meet up there. There will be at least two D2's and maybe a D1. Maybe see you there.

I changed rotors last year ( not OME) but left original pads on as this was recommended to wear the anodising off -- little difference but plenty of dust!-- changed pads to Bendix 4wd (Tit. strip) -- a "softer" feel, i.e. felt I needed to push a bit harder on the pedal but worked OK but definitely a LOT less dust. Hope this helps.

As with everything its a "trade off"
Less dust = harder pad = more brake pressure neede to stop the vehicle.
I use Mintex pads / discs, been good so far, and it only takes a few mins to wash the wheels off![]()
Thanks for the replies, I think Bendix gets the nod. Aussie made as well.
Didn't see anyone else up at Sheepskin Hut, bloody cold and wet but the 4wding was excellent.
Cheers
I'm not a fan of Aussie brake pads - too hard, too noisy.
I like OEM pads - dont like the brake dust either - but brakes are designed to stop a vehicle, not make them look good. I'll stick with LR pads.
