    ARB winch bar

    Hi,
I'm wanting to know if when fitting a winch to an ARB bar, does the winch bolt solely to the bar or are there fixings to the chassis as well? I am hoping to be able to save on fitting costs and do the install myself with some good input from you guys!
    Thanks

It bolts only to the bar mate. I just put my bar on today. No winch though.

majority bolt to the bar, 3 years ago i had this discussion with the sales rep....... i thought it would have been more logical (strength wise) to bolt it to the chassis........................................i suppose not.

Id question the strength of a bar that doesn't take a winch directly on to it. The ARB bars are strong.

    ARB winch bar

Thanks to all, it looked like it bolted only to the bar, just wasn't sure. The 'crush cans' and all. Your reassurances of the strength of the ARB bar have helped. now all I have to do is mount it up
    Thanks again
