best uhf locations or dash pods available

    Hi guys,
Has anyone got some info on installations for a uhf in a td5?
Im sure there are some pods available, but Im keen to hear of any good ideas instead of maybe having to fork out for a pod, any ideas welcome
    cheers

    G'day bronson

I have a D1 300tdi and i fitted a GME TX3440 on the drivers side under the dash. Good security and plus with that unit you can place the speaker anywhere because it has the lcd screen on the actual hand unit.

Im with Joker the 3440 is super neat. Otherwise the 3420 fits under the cup holders or with a little work in the slot above the sunvisor.

I think I had a Sundowner in my D1. I mounted it up on the overhead console.

It isn't a great pic but you can just see it here:

The GME is TX3440 is good but the ICOM IC-440 is even better to hide away and install easily in something like the D2. In either case Silastic the base station to the inside of the panel under the steering wheel and then put the mic external from there on the dash.
