Found small leak from the top radiator hose due to original clamp lost tension after a while. On the weekend changed the clamp with the standard clamp that you can screw. Refill the coolant and bleed as manual said; open bleeding screw, lift the expansion tank approx 10cm high, fill the coolant and closed the bleed screw when coolant flow continuously thru the bleed hole, top up and closed the expansion tank while still lifted.
Drove for a while and the coolant level drop around 2 cm. I think it is normal. and there is no trace of coolant leak like before.
Tonite, found out that when arrived home (engine still running, after 20km drive home) that the coolant level up by approx 1cm. My question is, is this normal? or there is still some air in the system? When there was a leak, the coolant level never up even after long drive.![]()
normal...
most td5's have the cold coolant level sit anything up to an inch below the cold mark and then sit about half an inch below when hot.
