I paid less than that for a brand new Factory CDL actuator!!!
been digging deep in the search to try and answer my questions, but I thought I'd again tack onto the end of an old post instead of starting a new thread.
What is the off-the-shelf CDL activation kit that people recommend? Ashcroft seems to come up a lot but they are out of stock.
I came across another one that someone highly recommended (even came with an updated H/L range sticker!) but I can't find it again even after thrashing the search..
Thanks guys
The current heavyweight champ is .50's lever:
www.discovery2.co.uk / D2 CDL levers..... THE BEST!!
cheers

Easy to put together and install - $40 for the bits and took me about 5-6 hours of mucking around to fabricate the bracket that goes onto the spiggot and to fit every thing up then weld etc. But I'm very slow......Other than that pretty straight forward. Some won't like it as it doesn't look factory but it suited my needs and performed faultlessly for the last 2 years - and is 'in vehicle' activation...

As Offtrack has said go for the .50 CDL kit....you can get the sticker too and Del is a great guy to deal with...
Thanks a bunch guys - that is the exact site that I was looking at but couldn't remember the name of!
I'm going to try and do the install myself, my speciality is in human body mechanics, not so much automotive mechanics.. it seems straightforward, would this classify as a novice level installation?
Intermediate IMHO.
To all with levers at the bottom, search the sa forum. We made quite a couple using the lever and then a wiper motor to activate it with rocker switch inside the cab.
Fully DIY.:p
