Hi Phil,
as i said in an earlier post, if you want easy installation you could buy a Blaupunkt HU. I found my old manual and compared it to my old LR HU which was only eurovox, but the plug config on back is the same as blaupunkt. On the LR HU only two plugs were used I think. I will attempt to attach the wiring diagram from Blaupunkt manual to this post, compare it with your LR HU, it should be the same.
Cheers Matt

Ok, I did not think to ask if you had the built in amps. If this is the case then forget iso or anything else.
LR typically have a separate amp for the sub in the back door and door speakers. You need to isolate the wires to the speakers after the amp. The new head units speaker lines cannot run into the amps, so your better off running new wires to the doors, or find the speaker wires as they enter the doors, and latch on to these. The sub, if Ok, I did not think to ask if you had the built in amps. If this is the case then forget iso or anything else.

Again PM for any questions
Nick
thanks guys,
at this stage i think it will be easier to pull the oe HU, amp and stacker and replace the lot with after market stuff and new wiring
ive got to work out now if i go this way if i loose function to the rear headphones and these are attached to the OE HU and amp
looks like its back to burning cd's for now...

Hi Phil,
If you wanted some professional advice regarding what to do, you could try Marty at FHRX studios. I have just bought some speakers and sound deadner off him, he knows his stuff and gets lots of good wraps on different forums. Here is a link to their website:

If you're just after IPod or MP3 playing, why not consider an FM transmitter?
I got one of these
I can connect my PC or plug in a USB stick or SD card & transmit to the car stereo.
You can get ones specifically fo IPods as well.
EDIT* I've changed the link to one with IPod as well
