Splutter on acceleration
Hi guys, i'm having some little engine hesistation in my TD5 auto on acceleration. It's only now and then but highly annoying. It clears itself after a couple of seconds and then resumes normal acceleration.
Is this a typical fuel pump situation? doesn't feel like turbo lag, but then again I haven't driven alot of turbo based cars.
Can anyone correct me on the above?
Cheers,
Captcav

Be Worth checking the ECU red plug is not covered in oil due to the injector harness leaking.
Also look at the Intercooler hoses, in particular the one on the bottom of the turbo, as they are also known to delam inside and block the flow, and then you get hesitation like you describe.

Mine did it recently on the way back from an outback trip. I held the "pedal to the metal" until the surging stopped (at about 140 kph) and that fixed it. This was in top gear of course. It would probably work in a lower gear so that the speed limit is not broken.
