    Gearbox Mounts

    Gday All,
Was just wondering if anyone knows when these need to be changed..The engine mounts have the base hole and was wanting to know if there is something similar on these mounts.
Been under the car and they dont have any cracks etc and dont see anything obvious other than measuring the rubber thickness. Is it a change at xxx kms service thing

Can anyone help with this please,
    Thanks and Cheers Ean

I changed mine recently in an effort to "tighten things" up........

Easy to change, and the left mount had def gone weak!!, I could almost twist it 45° on itself, when compared to the new one, I could hardly move it.

The transfer / gearbox also did not "drop" down as far when letting the weight off the jack and sitting it on the mounts. So a worth while Job imo

From what I read about TD5 engine mounts,,
there is a visual check to do that lets you know if its broken,,
apparently fixes all kinds of funny ailments,,,

I think search would find a bit---
