    SPEEDO CORRECTION....With a Marks Adaptor??

Hi all. Just thinking while I have access to Auto ECU if it can be used.

I have a MFK1180U electronic ratio box to fit vehicles with a HALLS EFFECT electronic speedo drive. It's new and bought it with out realising speedo driven by wheel sensors(sales men).

It has a 2 program switch and should fit Japanese 4x4s, (also Range/Land Rovers?).

So has any one fitted one?
Could it be fitted at Auto ECU?
Could it go after ABS ECU?
    Which wires?
Only 4 wires; Ign.+,Earth, Cut Paulse and one to each end.

If not I'll try to swap for a ............ Um saw thread forgot name(I know search is my freind).

    Thanks in advance guys.
    Cheers

I think the Truspeed unit may be the only one known to work on the D2.

The D2 is a little more complex as it maintains a 1Hz diagnostic baseline frequency through the computers - if this is not passed through which some correction units dont, then it will keep faulting.

The speedo is also driven from the pulse that comes out of the SLABS computer, not the ECU.
    Cheers

I know for sure that the Marks ratio boxes do not work with my Disco I.

Yeah swap it for a Truspeed. They are dead simple to fit...especially if you follow the instructions on Slunnies website!!

Just to follow up Michael does not sell the Truespeed Units anymore so don't think there is someone in australia who sell them.

Will try to get details for the manufacturer directly

That'll be handy - I've just put some 245/75's on mine and the speedo's now not right because of it. I've got a bearing on where I need to from using GPS speedo's on my phone, but would be nice to have the needle where it should be so I don't have to double think it on the fly.
