Hi
I can remember someone recently commenting on the 3 positions that the spigot / lever of the CDL on the transfer case can be in
cant see it on RAVE
does anyone know what the three positions are
looking from the top of the case from full anticlockwise to fully clockwise ?
There are three positions from above
fully Anticlokwise
indent - middle
fully Clockwise
which are locked or unlocked ???
just finalising prefitting of my cable set up
Cheers
Nobby

Thanks Alien
good memory
it sort of answers my question
but not the three positions ?
I was assuming full anti clockwise one from above was CDL active but what are the other two spots ??
Nobby
Are the three positions you have over the 90deg as in the post?
Maybe going over centre and past where it should stop.
I never tried mine when I fitted my kit.
The light should come on when engaged (may have to roll car slightly).
Cheers.
I will have to check as new TC is not at home
I reckon it goes more than 90deg with the three stops ?
I cant check via lights as it is on bench... soon to be fitted
Nobby
Ah I thought I remembered Bundalene commenting on this
Back in June in D2 forum CDL, TC & ABS Lights are on!
: There are actually 3 positions on the CDL, all with detents. You may have selected the middle position inadvertently which means the CDL is locked. Fully anti-clockwise unlocks the CDL and is the only unlocked position.

then Ferret commented......

When viewed from above.
The middle position is definitely not 'locked' in mine and has been the normal position for every day driving for the last 10 years. I always wondered why there was that 'extra' fully anti-clockwise position.
if only I knew how to link that thread in .. I would
still a little confused whether they are talking about viewing from above or not
I suppose I will ask them!
As said, turn clockwise to lock when viewed from above. The 'middle' position and fully anti clockwise (viewed from above) are unlocked.
