The battery lamp on the dash of SWMBO's TD5 D2 has started to flash intermittently. Thinking this indicated the alternator was playing up I had it replaced with a new one. Gasp, eeek, shudder $1200 plus fitting thank you very much from LR dealer. Guess what, no change, lamp still comes on intermittently but alternator still gives 13.8 volts whilst running and battery charges OK. Any one else had a similiar problem.

PS. Anyone want to buy a perfectly good second hand TD5 alternator ?
