			[Discovery SII TD5] Turbo question

Is there any magic solution to start boosting under the 1.600RPM ? ECU parameters remaps ? I have found the TD5 Alive Turbo Boosting Turbo Boosting but I think is more for increase the maximum boosting pressure than the minimum RPM to start the boost pressure.

Turbo boost is relative to exhaust flow. You may not have enough exhaust flow under those revs to creat noticeable positive boost pressure.

to lower where the boost comes in as mentioned above, exhaust need to be free flowing, also EGR valve remove. there are a few other things to do but you wont get it much lower than 1600rpm.

Keep the vacuum hose to turbo dump valve as short as possible and replace it with proper silicon type hose.
Also replace all the standard rubber hoses to ad from intercooler with good silicon hoses. Use the 5 ply type for best results.
As discowhite said. Not much lower than 1600rpm.
Most mods will only get rid of turbo lag gving the impression that the turbo kicks in earlier.

Thanks to all for the responses.
Currently I have silicon hoses, hybrid turbo, and a big Intercooler from Paddock. Perhaps is a lost battle and I have to accept the TD5 like it is at low revs. In the other hand, it's a brilliant engine at medium revs (2000-3500). Higher revs are not necessary in 90% of my driving needs. I come from a V8, and this engine, actually, is powerful and capable of pursuit a V8 engine.

A smaller turbine and housing on the exhaust side will spin up sooner as the gasses will be moving faster throw it. But of course this will limit power at higher rev's by simply choking exhaust flow.
You could try fitting a variable vane turbo or using a twin turbo setup OR a belt driven supercharger.
