I can't help but notice that throughout this forum everyone says "with a 2 inch lift i can run ...... size tyres. Do i assume that your bumpstops are also dropped 2 inches? If your bumbstop is not dropped and your axle contacts it at full travel than it shouldn't matter what your lift is!
When you do a 2 inch lift you don't change you're bump stopsQuote:

I think that if you're going to do something, then do it properly. 265/75 gives you about 1.5" under the diff and more traction and is the largest tyre that can be easily fitted. 245 just doesn't offer as much for the same effort.Quote:

all depends what you are after...I run 245/75/16's and they are vastly better than stock tyres - when all said and done they are one inch taller and that does make a difference. I cannot go bigger because on steep hills I can get my Disco with LPG tanks (added weight) bull bar and 2 tonn of Seafarer Vagabond off the mark...bit tardy but I dont burn the clutch in high range. If I geared mine up any more with taller tyres again I simply wouldnt do they towing like that - if you have an auto the torque converter gears you down a bit but I dont have that option.

I reckon 285/75/16's with 2'' lift, they look the goods:cool:
the only thing that will rub is the plastic sill but that can be either modified or ripped off and replaced with sliders:angel:
Matman on here runs this size just for off road use on his d2 with a 2'' lift, i'm pretty shore they threw his speedo out 10km's and sapped the power slightly, know rubbing on standard off-set:)

i run Cooper st-c 265x75 r16 they have a slight rub on trailing arms at full lock but nothing super serious, good solid tyre
