I haven't personally but I did inquire about it when I was doing the same thing, the problem with his actuator is it only works when you engage low range, so it limits you in the fact that you can't use low range un-locked and you can't lock it in high range.

Have a search for Icefyres CDL actuator that he made himself or just PM him, it's a very good DIY job (I've seen it in person)

That's how mine works and I have found it to be fine. Mine was fitted by MR Auto up here in QLD.

The Graeme Cooper kit looks like a hood release from dads old ute! Could prob make one with bike cables.. and save $400.

Mine's a cable that comes up through the floor...works a treat.
