Always wanted to use that smiley! I use Penrite HPR Diesel 5 too.

Probably not mid-range price wise though.

Make sure you use a fully synthetic oil.

I used Nulon for my last change. Nulon recommends the use of its fully synthetic 5W30 in a TD5. For my last change I went with their fully synthetic 5W40 (I'm a bit stuck in the past and am of the opinion that 30 is a bit low in the Aussie climate but I'm probably wrong about that). It seems to be going well with quick pressure build up and no rattling noises on cold start up.

It costs about $60 per 5 litres.

When the Landrover dealer was servicing my TD5 they were using Mobil 1 0W40.

    Cheers

I use Mobil Delvac 1. It's hardly mid range though. 20l is about $230.
