    Cleaning Inlet Manifold

Gday All,Just wondering if anyone has cleaned thier inlet manifold whilst or after doing the EGR blank..I didn't clean mine but bugger me it was DIRTY.
Is it as straght forward as it looks or not worth the hassle?

    Thanks and Cheers Ean

I cleaned mine and it was coated with soot, oil and everything else.

It added another hour to the job to remove, clean and replace so I felt it was worth it.

    Hi Ean
I found out the same thing when I blanked off my EGR, the crap in there is terrible, takes years to wash off your hands. I am planning on removing mine and giving it a good clean with the pressure washer see if that does anything.

Just done mine also as doing that timing chain thing.
Reject/$2 shop degreaser and deisel mix(avoided petrol), scrubed with a bottle brush from same.
Disposable coveralls, double rubber gloves, and an old cap, stoped most of it

    Cheers.
