Thread: D2 Teething Problems and Upgrades

Still trying to sort out some issues with the D2.

I bought it with 79,000km in it 2 months ago and since then have had a few teething problems with my purchase.

1. Throttle body coolant leaks
FIXED

2. Exhaust flange bolt falling out
GETTING DONE TODAY

3. Front, rear and intermediate pin seals on transfer case
FIXED

4. Power steering and ACE leaks
FIXED

5. Rear bumper tail light loose
FIXED

6. Passenger repeater fell out of panel
FIXED

7. Bolt from nudge bar missing
FIXED

8. ACE amber warning light displays, aprox. 10 times in 2 months
CHECKING FOR FAULT CODES TODAY

9. New coolant leak from rear drivers side of engine
TRYING TO FIND SOURCE OF LEAK TODAY

Once the teething issues are fixed and the disco appears to be good again I can get onto the proper work.

UPDATE,

Exhaust flange bolt replaced, drilled out thread on falnge and replaced with bolt and lock nuts.

Coolant leak appears to be loose bolts in the valley, getting tightened and resealed.

ACE amber warning light appears to have no explanation, there are no fault codes listed and it goes away when you restart the car.
