    Suspension Systems

Has anyone had any experience with the different branded suspension systems such as ARB's Old Man Emu, the EFS system or the TJM set? I may be looking at a suspension upgrade on a D2a I'm buying and want to see people's thoughts.

    Thanks guys

    Paul,

I can vouch for ARB's OME systems - they are well thought out and engineered but you pay for the privelidge. They have several system from light to heavy duty and I ran the medium duty for a few years and then decided to have springs made up to my specs. It's a cheaper way to go if you know what you want.

    Cheers,

    Franz

The tough dog adjustable kit seems to work pretty well

I've got the Tough Dog (springs/shocks) kit but not adjustable shocks, they are the heavy duty foam cell type.....also Tough Dog steering damper. No complaints about the comfort or the abilities etc. A firmer ride than the originals but they were getting on and had sagged so that's to be expected.
All up they are good so far, only had them on for a few weeks so time will tell I guess.

    Cheers

I have the new OME Nitrocharger Sport shocks with 2" spring lift on the front. The back has spacers as it has SLS. After a few weeks of driving, the difference is amazing. I am really happy with them.

I can also vouch for the OME and EFS gear. I had an EFS kit in my D1 and it transformed the car. Handled really well with a bit of weight in the back. At the moment I have a set of King springs in the D2 and have just put a pair of the new OME Sports shocks on the rear (fronts coming soon....) and am amazed at the difference. I didn't think the old shocks were THAT bad! I couldn't wait to get home so went across the road from ARB and ripped off the old ones in the car park....The Sports are definitely firmer than the originals, but so far I cannot fault them; can't wait until ARB get the fronts in stock....
    Cheers Chris.
