    Mystery Auto Problem Fixed

The disco had the auto serviced recently, has only done 66000klms. Following the service the auto was erratic with the changes, sometimes not even selecting a gear after stopping at lights etc. Long story short, (no car for 6 days) after numerous electronic troubleshooting was performed the car was delivered to an auto transmission expert who discovered the new transmission filter was cracked and therefore the pump was losing suction. It was difficult to determine whether the damage was from manufacture or installation. No damage sustained to the auto fortunately. You never stop learning do you.

    Excellent!
I'm hoping something similar might be all that's wrong with the A/T on our V8, have mentioned this to the A/T guy that's going to look at it.
    Cheers
