    Rear Springs

My rear springs have sagged by just over an inch and so I would like to replace them with a new set and some air-bags. Fronts are fine and sit nice and high so there is no need to replace them. All current springs are OEM and standard height. I really like the comfort of the standard spring rate so would like to keep the rate. I would, however, like to lift the back just a little over standard as I have a few things in the back that does weigh it down a little. I also intend on doing a lot more touring weighing up the back quite a bit, hence the air bags.

So what brand and spring rate should I go for? I never mind paying for quality so no need to recommend just because of price.

I have thought about just replacing with OEM but doing this may see the Disco sit a little low on the back because of the gear in the back.

    Cheers

The easist solution - not necessarily cheapest or best - is to get Old Man Emu springs. They make (from memory) three rates for the D2 - standard, heavy and a linear. The heavy one will lift the back about 30-40mm when empty and will reduce body roll but I think if you do this you will probably want to raise the front too.

Do a search, there;s a good thread about this,i think it's called changing springs on D2,a lot of useful stuff.
Your lucky your fronts have not sagged, most do & mine is a low mileage '04 & they were badly sagged, the bar probably helped though, steel,no winch

I replaced my fronts with stock Kings & then the rears with stock Kings. The car now sits virtually level & the rears are rated almost same as stock rears. They ride well, but if your going to carry a lot of weight around you need heavier than these stock height Kings.

Suggestions from others is 320Lbs,mine are around 280.

I have a set of OEM rears that i dont think sagged at all if you want them as they are here waiting for a home.

Rears are real easy to change.

My front came up a long way with the Kings, but the rear stayed pretty much the same with the Kings.

What i should have done is measure the rear heights before i changed them
