    Wheel spacers

Do people on here use wheel spacers?

    Are they legal?

Was think about using them to take the center of gravity down a bit.

As far as I am aware they are illegal for road use.

You would need offset rims instead, remembering you can only change your wheel track by 50mm (25mm each side).

    Thats in QLD anyway.

Wheel spacers are illegal for road use in all Australian states. I cannot recall anyone here admitting to using them, although it would be a little surprising if there was nobody here using them.

It doesnt but the change in track will affect it in a similar way for stability on side angles and when cornering. There are geometrical differences in the steering also, but he basically means to make it more stable.

I bought 16"x8" TX1 with a +3 Offset. They were purpose made in Adelaide I think, they do have washers that you need to put in the holes before the nuts go on.I didn't worry about the chrome caps.I bought them in Perth at Richards Tyre Power, they were about $175 each. They are load rated to 1400kg. They increase my track alot (Offset, wider rim and larger tyre). If you like the look I can try and check the paperwork

Here is a photo of my rig

No, wrong stud pattern. If they were the same as a D2 stud pattern, they would sit 55mm further out per wheel.
