Well at the moment my D2 has ACE and a 2 inch lift running 245/75r16 tyres - this has no problems.

This thread is the first time i have heard about ACE having troubles with the bigger tyres, but i havnt owned the car for long so i don't know a whole lot about it at the moment.

If you wanted to just go a bit bigger in tyre size and not outrageous then i would definitely reccomend the 245/75r16's (thats if you can get your hands a set of 16inch rims) They give you a great amount of grip at this size (especially in combination with the d2's Traction Control)

I am soon going to upgrade to 285/75r16s but I am only going to run them on the weekends when i take it offroad so hopefully i won't run into any ace problems but i'll see how it goes...

    and 255 75 r18 is a 33'' tyre. ide say its a typo and should be 255 55 r18(29'' standard size)

a better option would be to put 17'' D3 rims on as there are plenty of sizes available compaired to the 18's.

Are there any hard facts to support this or is this just anecdotal? I know of several D2's that are 10 years old and have always run 265/75's and none have had any ACE issues.

    Cheers,
