I must have bought the wrong coloured silicone hoses.

My original hoses were in good condition. When I revved the engine I couldn't see them swell, but I could feel them bulge out if I wrapped my hand around them.

After fitting them I tried them out on my local dynamometer, a long hill where on 20 or 30 attempts I have established that my speed always drops from 100 to 90 km/h if there is no wind.

Guess what speed I dropped back to on 20 or 30 trips with my new silicone hoses.

    90 km/h

I don't believe the D2 ones would unless they were old and going anyway. As for the Puma Defender, I have my doubts and unfortunately its almost impossible to check with the engine running as the hoses are well "hidden". Having had a hose go (worn through thanks to LR design) I want something solid inplace as a 2.4L engine without the Turbo isn't fun.

As for increase in performance, I'm expecting it to be minimal, but will order, install and wait and see.
