    Aschroft CDL Kit

In the process of installting the CDL kit from ashcroft. Bolted the two bolts on on the spigot plate and also nylock nut to spigot.

Start the car and engage the diff lock but there is no diff lock light come up. Read this thread as it has the same problem and it was the the dog clutch in the transfer box sticking.

what is the dog clutch and how do I fix it? or any other thing that I should check?

Sorry for stupid questions but I am not really a mechanic. Thanks in advance.

Read through the 'cdl' section in the 'Good Oil'. There is probably (almost certainly) nothing wrong with your cdl

Engage the diff lock, then jack up any wheel and rotate it and it should come on, with the ignition on so the dash lights are lit-up.

    Cheers Ean

Yes I can see the light on now. Thanks Ean.

Now time to put everything back. What size of rivet do I need?

3/16 or 4.8 mm dia pops by about 5mm long.........but

Even better is using speed clips and screws, makes it easy to dis-assemble next time.
