My D2 has a 2" lift and 245/75/R16s. I won't go in anything under 2050mm. Usually new carparks are OK, its the old ones (eg in North Sydney) which tend to be 1.95m. You have to be carful of the entrances and ramps due to the overhang at the back however, which when on a slope, can be another 50mm.

gazk - thats exactly what I was hoping for. If I go the D2 route, I will probably get a second set of wheels with larger play tyres, and leave the standard ones for city duties.Originally Posted by gazk

maybe this is why they wanted to ban 4wd's in the city, cos they are dangerous to carparks as well as pedestrians
