Air Compressor & 15 litre tank in D2 - Show us your setup

Now that my wallet is a lot lighter, but the D2 finally seems to be all fixed I am going to start on some mods.

A small mod that I want to do over christams is to install an air compressor and 15 litre air tank in the back of the D2.

The compressor I am looking at is the Grande Boss Compressor, http://www.4h.com.au/prod134.htm

I want to be able to inflat and reseat tyres as well as use air tools.

Has anyone put a setup like this in theirs and if so pictures would be greatly appreciated for ideas.

I mounted mine under the L/H seat..

    Pardon the mud

Not sure how big your compressor is but it might fitt, then may be mount the tank off the chassis if you can seal the hose through the floor.
Or under bonnet mount of compressor.
    Cheers, Kyle

This is what I am thinking of doing so far.

Installing compressor and tank within drivers side trim and storage box.

The compressor install is probably being put on hold for a few months, getting some 16 x 7 alloy wheels machined and some AT tyres instead.

(The wheels are actually rated at 1,250kg each, so stronger than steel rims)

Will just have to do with the $60 super cheap compressor for a while until the boss lets me spend more money......

I reckon you'll get about ten to fifteen inflations out of the Super cheapo! I am on my second and only have one as a spare after I had to rebuild it with a home made gudgeon pin! ARB is only just over $300 and is a pretty snazzy bit of kit! Doesn't come with an in-line gauge though!
