DISCOVERY TWO SEATS
Getting old with a spot of arthritis in the base of my spine,I find the Disco seats a little too firm now.
I borrowed a set of Rangie P38 seats which are much softer but the different floor levels make adaptation pretty hard, and not possible to retain disco trims around the base of the seat and still close the door.
Recaro can provide a seat and base for around $1900.
Which is a bit beyond my means, has anyone any suggestions/experience on how to either improve the existing or convert somehow ?

Not sure on cost, but have you considered taking your existing D2 seats to a trimmer to get the foam/padding altered.
They could them make them as soft and supportive as you like.
I got a motorbike seat done years ago, changed the foam and cut a better shape - wow what a difference.
