    Rattles and wobble

After I install 2" lift about two weeks ago I started hearing rattling noise when taking off (low speed) and today I notice the steering is wobbly when I released the accelerator at around 10km/h.

Is the rattling noise from the wheel nuts?
    how about the wobble?

Is the rattle noticeable on any part of the car eg, rear down behind your seat. Check that your shockers are all tight. After I got my 2'' lift I had to re tighten the top of the rears as they were rattling when going over any little bump. 2 minute job to fix.
While your under there, run your eye over the backing plates on the rear brakes, as they crack around the little bolts that hold them on and start to rattle also.
Then maybe the exhaust could have developed a rattle.

Not sure about the steering tho

    Hope that helps..

The rattle is from the front part of the car. I suspect the wheel nuts as the original wheel nut has cover that loose. I bought another set of wheel nut on ebay and the cover arent that loose as original.

I noticed this morning that the wobbling is at 40km/h not 10km/h. I noticed this when in school zone on the way to work.

But when I applied the brake the wobbly was not too bad or I can say it wasnt wobbly at all.

Do you think I didnt put the front wheels straight enough?

Does the wobble go away as you go faster or does it stay there....

This may sound silly, but just an observation, are the wheel nuts on tight enough?? Just have never heard of rattling wheel nuts before thats all.

It goeas away when go faster. It only wobble when at 40kmh and let go the accelerator without braking.

Yes they all tight. But my D2 wheels nuts has this cover that move/rattle. Could it be because the 2" lift stiffer than the std suspension then they move more in slow speed?

Thats normal for the wheel nuts, the back ones will be the same. I wouldnt think it would have anything to do with the lift otherwise you would notice it on the rear aswell.

Did you change/alter anything on the front end while doing the lift, like steering damper etc?

Just another thing to look at since doing your lift will be the front tailshaft. Probably not the cause of your wobble, but a lift will alter the angle on the shaft from what it used to be, so check that for wear/movement also..

Front Tailshaft is possible but wont cause steering wobble...

Alignment will be out on Toe since lifting as axle rotates on Axis.

Loose or worn shock now sitting in different position within shock tube could cause 'shimmy'

Or knocking off a wheel weight when removing/refitting wheels...
