New Poly air bags in my D2

Got myself a set of Poly Air bags for the car, to help her out when towing the camper.
Had to get the kit to suit the excisting 2'' lift, so it just comes with extra spacers.
Will be able to try it out over christmas, so am looking forward to see how they feel.
Heres some pics if anyone is interested.
We ran the valves out under the rear bumper basically between the tow hitch and the indicators on each side.

Had them installed while it was in getting its 200,000k service, and thought I would get them to check my oil pump bolt aswell...........prognosis, it wasnt about to fall out, but certainly wasnt tight....I sleep better now.

    200,000K service

    Hi TD

Just out of interest, what work was done on your D2 for the 200,000K service? (Only 5000K to go for mine!)

I did the same and even asked the mechanic NOT to tell me either way .... whether it was tight or not .... curiosity got the better of me. I actually watched him try to remove it ..... it was tight as.

Still, as you say, I sleep better now too.

Out of interest, how much were the bags and the cost of installation?

    Cheers

The 200,000 is a major one, and apart from the normal filters changed (oil, fuel, air), all the oils and fluids were drained and re placed. Engine, diffs, gear box, brake fluid and some other incidental things aswell. Gaskets etc

    Emu,

The bags were $300 bucks from suspension stuff. My mechanic installed them at the same time as it was getting serviced, so not exactly sure on the time taken to install them sorry mate.
