    Wheel Lock Nuts

    Long story short, I went to take a wheel of the Disco this atfernoon, and found that some other kind person has been there before me and chewed the locking nut...

    So the big question is... what is the best wat to remove the nut now?\

    Any advice gladly accepted!

    You should be able to undo it with a hammer and punch,once its loose should be easy.
    Try member "Bundalene" (Erich) for a replacement,you will need the code letter.Erich wrecks D2s and is quite a helpfull chap.

    get a bi hex socket that only just doesnt fit on. Hammer it home and undo.

    Failing that die grind the nut off and then replace it. IF you nick the stud you have to replace the stud as well.

    Get 4 new standard nuts from the wreckers for the road wheels & leave one locknut on the spare.

    However I have not seen too many Commodores driving around on stolen Land Rover alloys fitted with muddies.

    A few people had the wheel nuts stolen but not many that I know of have had the wheels taken. A bit different if it was a rice burner go fast car.

    Never heard of the road wheels being stolen.I would rather risk that happening than being stuck out in the bush somewhere & not being able to change a wheel.
    The security sockets have a habit of cracking which is a real PITA
