    Bullbars for D2

Hi everyone, just thought I would pass on my experiences trying to get a bullbar for my D2a.

We have recently moved up to Bendigo from Melbourne, and the missus gave me the green light to get a bar for the Disco. I thought I would get the TJM one as I liked the looks slightly better. Phoned the local TJM dealer up here, and it turns out that they have just been discontinued!!!! I couldn't believe it. I tried a couple of other dealers, but seems no one had one left in stock, so I have ended up going with ARB. Can't wait; should have it by beginning of Feb....
Cheers and Happy New Year, Chris.

I love the look of the Sahara bars...

But recent experience tells me I cant have one as the replacement bar

All impacts I've had with road life have been on the edge / corner..

Even the latest, centralised hit would have destroyed both headlights if it hadent been for the hoops of the ARBs conventional bar

ARB is probably the best bar anyway.

I agree with slunnie, i have tjm at the moment but if a had the coin there would be an arb on straight away, have had to straighten mine several time after minor confrontations with obstacles.

I was only very slightly more in favour of the TJM, mainly on looks really. I know the ARB is probably the better product, so not really all that disappointed....at least ARB still makes good gear for the "older" models!

I'm getting the Deluxe Winch Bar as I also figured I might need the protection of the wings....

We cannot buy either over here now due to stupid rules, We can buy the Sahara only, but they take of the chrome tube and bin it when it gets to the UK........(F****rs) so Im currently in the process of importing one from the states, goona be pricey, but worth it imo!!.

Im was going to go for the deluxe one , but it has no front recovery points on it where as the pre-facelift does (dunno why, I E-mailed ARB to ask, but got no reply ), but the deluxe has the fogs which is nice..........will forfeit those for the moment.....

    Red Baron,

Give Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide a call. They are currently advertising a used TJM bar and sometimes have ARB bars in stock.

I would not have another TJM bar. The paint on the winch cradle and the bottom of the bar is not good enough it comes off in large chunks with rust underneath.

Would go the ARB next time.

    Cheers
