Started the service with a sediment clean and stripped the thread on its way back in. Needless to say, it's now leaking diesel.
If you have an OEM fuel filter and are in Sydney, I am on the North Shore, please PM me. I will pick it up and leave you $100 bucks security money then give you a new OEM filter on Monday (when Land Rover open), and get my $100 bucks
Am suppose to be taking the family out tomorrow but without the Landy, I can't (it needs to tow).

excellent suggestion. Yeah it is just the sensor. I found a bolt that will fit, packed it full of washers as it was a little long, added the rubber washer and primed....now she wont start. might try priming a few more times but it does not appear to be leaking...
OK well primed a few more times and it finally started. I have squashed the rubber washer pretty bad but it might do until Monday.

Take some thread tape or some pushbike tube or piece of rubber with you, if it leaks you should be able to push the bolt thru the rubber to seal it again..or wrap the bolt with the thread seal may help
Supercheap Auto,s in Darwin sell the fuel filter for a d2 and are open on a sunday..Not sure about down your way..

A bolt is much safer than the bleed valve. Mine just let go out in the middle of nowhere.

The best seal I could find is the one on the original bleed valve
