Hey Feraldisco you put that soooo well. I will NEVER take my car to a dealer for anything.
I have had them bend 6 Valves and refit a head with second hand use once head bolts.
I havn't found a good one.

ACE is locked bars above 40kph in a straight line. As the bars are thicker than non-ACE bars, any undulations encountered whilst in a straight line will toss the vehicle around more than a non-ACE bar. However at slower speeds ACE will partially or fully unlock the bars when it deduces rough road conditions from the accelerometers.
I have a speed signal generating box that is able to tell ACE that the vehicle is doing less than 40kph to get ACE to enable its rough road handling whilst doing any speed. Now that makes ACE ride undulations much more smoothly!
I was going by what dealer told me when I bought vehicle new in 2000. Dealer also said that services were more costly with ACE & it sapped some power from engine. Maybe he said all this because the ACE model was sold & he was not expecting stock for over a month & I had to do the deal before 30th June.
I drove one with & one without ACE pretty hard around a roundabout & didn't notice much difference..both went around like on rails.
My Son just bought a 2000 TD5 with ACE & SLS. He bought privately & I went with him for inspection. Only 173k, one owner with full LR service history & all service reports. We got seller down o $11K so excellent value for the money. I would love the SLS on mine, as with 150Kg on hitch from camper trailer the rear end gets pretty low in sand. Maybe I can con him into swaping discos? Don't think so!
Cheers..B

Has anyone done this? (retro fitted ACE). I'm contemplating it at the moment. I have access to the donor car but am thinking that it may be too much work.
It's a lot of work. Like, only if you're totally mental.
Which is why I have been looking at it :-)
You need the ace wiring on the main loom, all the parts, engine out, etc.
Big job. Doable? Yes. Worth it? Maybe...

I just bought another car with it already.
I am even selling one in Brisbane in the classifieds

There's a full setup for sale on the landrover buy swap sell FB page at the moment. Had me curious - wondering if it could be retrofitted to an RRC - provided there are no massive physical differences in the chassis which would prevent it.
IMO it's almost impossible to fit ACE to a RRC cos the ACE ECU needs vehicle speed inputs from the D2's SLABS ECU and the SLABS needs engine speed inputs from the D2's engine ECU so for a well working ACE you need all the D2 ECUs working normally on the RRC also the accelerometers must be at the same distance and positions like on the D2 or it will be imposibble to calibrate them, if anything of the mentioned conditions is not met it goes to default of 'locked bars' which means like it's not there... also might be hard to fit the pump too and the actuators which are designed for the D2's specific ACE anti roll bar.... better forget about that.
