yeah, got signs of cancer on the top of my screen, i suspect it will be a similar outcome. will wait until my windscreen is cracked and insurance can pay for it.

Did you seal over the gap in figure two - where the curved piece on the top of the windscreen seal ends? This does look like a drainage channel
Our D2a started to leak in the front corner of the windscreen and it showed up on the headliner edge. After a look at the TSBs, we examined the seal between the roof and driprail and saw it was cracked for about 300 mm from the windscreen line.
The TSB indicates to cut the sealant out from this cracking, clean and dry the exposed steel and reseal. We used a white paintable Sikaflex product for the job.
Solved.
The windscreen may have started to leak, and to check this out, remove the headlining (say, 1 hour for the beginner) and have the rain happen. That way, you can actually pinpoint the source.
