    Engine monitoring

    Hi all,

As i am currently seriously considering a remap for my TD5, I am also looking around at what engine monitoring equipment people are using if any? I have been told that an EGT gauge is recommended but what other devices are you all using.

    Steve,

I have just installed the TM2 combo from Dave and find it excellent. The low coolant alarm gives me peace of mind and the real time temp readout of the engine is a reasonable gauge of what is going on there.

I do intend to have a look at the new Nanocom unit when it come out to assess its capability to give me real time monitoring as well, but in the meantime, I highly recommend the TM2.

    Regards
    Ian

    Steve,

Send an email to David at enginesaver@bigpond.com You can just Google Engine Saver and the web site will come up. The unit took about an hour to install and was relatively easy.

    Dave is very helpful.

    Cheers
    Ian
