Discoveryoffroad don't go jumping in front of trains then we'd all have to explain why you did and end up having to by the train driver beers for the rest of our lives(bad joke):wasntme:
Grab a ticket and start your trip in Sth Queensland first and go from there:D:p
Dont know if this helps Australian Design Rules have to work through the site.looks like red tape.
Yours
.........and they all lived happily ever after!!!!:D
I take your point............ to be fair tho my input was ref a particular subject "within" the bumper discussion as some of the facts were wrong.
so far, I feel my "assumption" may have been correct...........not been proved wrong yet....
I'm as much interested in new products as anyone else is, but I like to see the facts about a particular product, not just hear say.
Everyone seems to be happy anyway now, but as you singled me out I feel I have to "defend" my corner ;)
Hi Urban, sorry to single you out, there are a lot of people who I should have mentioned! I know in my industry if I assume anything about my customers I get shot, hung & bagged the crap out of if I am wrong. there are some dodgy people in my industry! I have seen others do the same, so I never assume anything about anyone. Hope I didn't offend but everyone just seemed so mean & I was getting annoyed.:D
Dave.
yes the bumper on the F250 is overboard... there is a small market for those in the states and they would be very illegal in OZ... they will not be marketed ever over there... I just wanted to show a pic of the lights... LOL...
as for the disco bumper, this is the point of the design... you can give your rebuttle back, but I wanted to put this out there... the center section has the built in ski plate to protect all the "essentials" in the vehicle... the sides are angled for good approach angle... we like the hidden winch mount because it doesnt hinder airflow to the vehicle and it also centers it in between the frame not above it so the force is evenly... and then do I really need to explain light cut outs? LOL
Q: has anyone ever actually witnessed or seen any footage of these supposed crash tests carried out by ARB or TJM? I have seen posts on this forum asking folks with new vehicles to be used as test mules for the said companies who in turn offer discounts to the owners. If they are supposedly crashing vehicles for ADR certification why would they need our members brand new cars?
Or did they crash a 60 series cruiser in 1986 and have been modifying their designs to suit other vehicles ever since
some links to ARB crash testing footageon a D2 would be great
LMFAO wow would you offer your truck for that? good lord that dont sound like something I am interested in. I know for the bumper we have displayed on the page here. The crash was a customer that was doing like 80 on the highway and lost it but as far as to say this was crash tested from DOT NO WAY! I would like to see a smart car crash tho. I know they didn't stand a chance this years snow fall. They were all over the highway. Poor golf cart tires. Its more of a I want to die lets drive type of car.
If your wife leaves you and your kids hate you then sure Ill drive a smart car.
