as for the truck, here is a photo before I added the other few lights, but you get the point...

ok now to answer all the posts directed to me... but first... Jameson and Jack Daniels are my hard liquors, and I like MGD and Coors light for beer, which I have no clue if you have that there... its not fosters or anything... but I am also a Guiness fan and Jaegermeister is alwaya a good choice...
to answer questions.. yes I get your point on the shackle mounts... i understand what you are saying, and yes my mounts are much stronger... and if you try an side pull the ARB, those "crush cans" as you call them will totally get bent up... mine are much stronger and will take a side pull to a certain point, but too much and like anything else, they will probably fail... I had a guy try a 90* side pull on his Chevy Kodiak 5500 series truck and that ended up bad considering the truck weighs 6 tons... LOL... as for hitting a bank and bending your mounts, that is exactly what we dont want to happen, hence why we dont use that style... and we had three different bumpers tested for crash saftey and to be totally honest, it took a harder impact to deploy the airbags, not a softer one... which IMHO is a good thing... Airbags hurt... LOL... and as for the bar options... I have 5 different options guys... and I have seen the ADR regulations a few different times and I know the regulations...
as for the truck, here is a photo before I added the other few lights, but you get the point...

Well, after reading all the way through this thread - I'll offer an opinion.
I don't mind the look of the bar on the Disco at all, particularly the full bar with the top rails etc. A bit too much cut away in front of the wheels I feel, but overall, doesn't look bad.
BUT - unfortunately it would definitely be illegal in most, if not all, states in Australia. The forward rake of the uprights would see it fail the latest regs without doubt.
But as for that bar on the F250 - sorry, but that's just plain bloody ugly. Would also be highly illegal in Australia (thank f*&%).
But apart from the appearance, the workmanship looks good from what I can see in the photos.
Cheers .........

Ok Ok, this is exactly the place I did not want to get into.
Sorry if I miss led you, most would comment back saying, " wow, you must have hit that hard". or " Cricky, bank must have been big". So how about, instead of saying bank. Embankment,Small 4 foot cliff, Driving up a drop off.BIG rocks involved.Massive steep incline to begin with. Get the picture?. I was comitted and had to go for it and like I said Driver error,( I made it though) Now if you like damaging your Chassis and more, go for it, I hit this hard and Im wrapped that this was all the damage that occurred structurally, bit of a bent guard,as well as pushed it against the door just, popped the head light and indicator. All fixed.I would not have got away with this without the cans, I could still drive around.
I thought you did not run cans at all, do you or not?
What sort of Racing are you involved in?? So far the pics show a standard Disco and a raised rig with heaps of bling, not a scratch and no under body protection.
Im not in for the ****ing competition but show us some "Race pics"
Id recon it would be great if you received comments like . Wow what a great bar" " Man I want one of those, how much?". but you have not.
Change a few things and you could have people knocking your door down.
Any way just my opinion
Yours..
Na Discothrasher, 3 hrs and it was all done, Dont want to do it again though, I dont think I'll be that lucky again![]()
Well... this has to go down as the most BITCHY post I've ever read!
Not that I'm supportng either side here, but wow...look out anyone who seeks an OPINION on something here.
I have a TJM winch bar, Repco winch (which has never died), Browns springs, Bilsteins, about to go ARB lockers F/R.
Putting it bluntly, I buy what suits my purpose, and my budget.
I accept that these guys need to do their research... but maybe that's what they are doing here, and why not?
We allow people to ask questions and we allow unsoilicited answers.... why so hard on these guys???
As long as they don't break to rules on soliciting business from our site, who cares?
I can sleep now![]()

Opinions were asked for and recieved from people (like myself) that have a great deal of experience.
But when our opinions and suggestions are brushed aside, then our American friends can expect some flak.
If they want advice/suggestions/ feedback and they post here then they should at least consider whatever advice/suggestions/feedback whether it's complimentary or not, some comments were a bit narky, but on the whole fair and accurate, Regards Frank.
I agree with wardy1, I think a few people jumped the gun & were quite harsh. I didn't think there was a sales pitch.... but that's my opinion, don't shoot me for it. Lol. Urban panzer, don't know why you would assume anything without knowing anything about their company. I like the look on the f series truck, looks menacing!! (but then again I love the F650!!!) Yes the yanks can go over the top with things, but the are doing it because THEY CAN!! & there is a market for that & there maybe a market for that here as well obviously not as big (prob due to cost) but if there are people out there bringing stuff here it may make things cheaper, more competition.
