Hi Guys, Whats involved in a power bleed? I'm guessing a nanocom but I have the V8 so am holding out til march when I'm told a V8 model will be available. Apart from that is it just your average run of the mill manual bleed or will i need a power bleeder? If so where could i source one?
Cheers Ted

I was having trouble with the 3 amigos, diagnostic tool was reading front passenger wheel sensor which we cleaned once but they soon returned and was still reading same sensor, I was also getting a lot of brake squeal, my mechanic wanted to replace the sensor and hub $$$ but after reading posts on here regarding harmonics disturbing the sensor..., I fitted the bendix brake pads the squeal went and have not since had a problem with the amigos since.![]()
Thats a great result Aaron,,
pads and brake fluid are pretty cheap,,

Done the powerbleed about 1 mth ago, simple and easy to do, but dont do as I did and let the resouiver run out of fluid..try and get some that is a different colour as well, makes it easy to know when the old stuff is out.
Have since put new front roters on and all seems well..Wish I could get rid of the dust that keeps making my front alloys look black..what a PITA that stuff is...
May have to try a different brand pad...cant remember what the last 1's were so that will be fun..
Cheers Ean
Powerbleed and modulator bleed on Nanocom makes it an easy job.
Mine took nearly 3 litres to get good clean fluid from all 4 calipers.
I put in TRW/Lucas pads all round plus new discs on the front 10k ago, no squealing and no three amigos since. Only thing, three amigos did not clear them self, had to hook up nanocom for that.
I agree Pedro. I have full service manual on Wabco ABS modulator & 25K changes of fluid are recommended. I wonder why LR doesn't adhere to this?
I have had my 2000 TD5 serviced from new by LR & you should have seen the colour of the fluid when I bled it after SVS replacement..it was nearly black!
Cheers..B
