Went to mow the lawn the other day... something that happens far to often in Bundy.... grass grows inches by the minute it seems... Well I moved the Disco out of the drive well away from the mowing.... Thinkinig this is a good idea (my 2 year old son has been gardening (read removing rocks from garden). Well you know what happened - after I tried picking up all the rocks I had to miss one and it had to go exactly where I moved the car to didn't it... straight into the back window... 2 hours later all cleaned up and having spoken to the insurance company there is no rear windows around and I have to wait 4 days.... Oh well what can you do....
its a pain in the arse when that happens, i too have broken my D1's rear window while mowing, such a waste!
For those with D2's and still have the original rear screen is it tinted from factory... the replacement glass is looking a little clear for my liking and if it is different I will take it up with the insurance company.

Mine also.
Off topic some lowlife smashed the rear left door window of the son's Puma & there was only one in the country in Melbourne. No after markets available, which didn't surprise me.Four day wait, now all done.
Middle of the day,in a car park at crime city(Gold Coast).
yep... is tinted.
Just checked my 01 D2 TD5 Disco and the label on the window says:
Land Rover
Pilkington
SUNDYM
toughend
If you want a photo of the label PM me.

Hope its not much more expensive than the rear passenger side window
Ours got broken by a guy using a whipper snipper cutting the grass on the edge of a main road, they paid to get it fixed, but as it was factory tinted and none available in Aust new, we waited 5days for express air from UK.
Think it was over $750 in the end..
Cheers Ean
Last time that happened to me it was a double glazed glass door. Makes the rear window of a Disco look cheap and quick to replace.
